There is a lot of documentation involved in securing mortgage financing—the more organized you are, the easier the process will be. Your preparation will help ensure a seamless mortgage process.

The following list includes documents that borrowers are typically required to provide, though some loans will need additional documentation.

• Copy of driver’s license
• Copy of social security card
• Last 2 years of signed federal tax returns (all pages, all schedules)
• Last 2 years of W-2s
• Last 2 months of pay stubs
• Last 2 months of bank statements (all numbered pages)

All documents must be sent in their entirety — they want ALL pages (even if blank), with no blackouts or missing information. This a comprehensive snapshot of your financial history. Failure to have this information or not providing ALL the details can delay the settlement.

Securing a mortgage doesn't need to be stressful. Being prepared is the key to success. Call or text me if you need a reputable local lender to help you prepare for your next home purchase.
