BRRRR....Baby it's cold outside. Right now the temperature is 30 degrees but that's not slowing down the real estate market. It is HOT HOT HOT in certain areas of the Washington DC metro area. This month I had the pleasure of representing buyers that were relocating to Northern Virginia from South America. They have never owned a home before and were excited to get started with the house hunt. They came into town on two different weekends and we looked at everything available. WOW!!! It was a whirlwind. During that time period we drove around Burke, Springfield and Fairfax. We found a home that had just come on the market 2 days before and they fell in love with it. They were ready to write an offer. We quickly found out that there were already two other offers that were coming. We needed to come with our best foot forward. My buyers were ready! We were flexible with the settlement date and were creative with other negotiables.

Burke, VA offers a great location and community. It is close to 495, the 495 HOT lane, Virginia Railway Express (VRE), Metro bus stops, & commuter parking. Burke's closest Metro stop is the end of the Blue Metro line, the Franconia Springfield Metro station. Pentagon Metro buses run throughout the Burke neighborhoods and head straight to the Pentagon. Metro buses are also available for commuters to bus to the Metro station and then take the Metro into work.
